Fit a plane to a camera view precisely

Hi friends

How is it possible to fit a plane into a camera view precisely so it won't be manually done.

I want to be able to tell my plane and use the camera view as it new position/rotation/ratio(not important though)

My idea was to use Xpresso using the half value of the camera field of view and use a mathematical Pythagorean equation that I was not able to do it

The snap shot explains how my result will be

Best

Here's a scene file I created more than 10 years ago (time flies) which I used to insert greenscreen keyed video footage into 3D environments.

With the use of the userdata I could then move the keyed live action character into my 3D scene.

I extensively used this setup for a short story I created.

Here is another Xpresso setup that automatically takes into account Render Settings Output size.
Multiplier User Data is to be offset the distance from the camera.

Sorry...but I simply do not have enough faith to be an atheist.

I got Jed's old file from @bezo@jed I hope you're doing well!
I had a similar problem, but, since I was using Redshift, I instead used the handy "Background" tab of the RS Camera.  You just load in your image/sequence to the "Image" input.  If you need a foreground you can use a plane that just has to at least fill the camera frame, and set the material projection to "Frontal" or "Camera."  Depending on which combination of setups you're using, you may need to match your project aspect ratio to the texture image.

I've combined both setups in the attached file- hope it helps!
