I noticed that my character lower face was swinging too much,  so I went into the weights manager to lower or remove the part of the face that was moving too much.

It looks like the the area in question was weight painted to spine 2 so I erased that area of the face hoping that the part of the face wont move now when that spine bone moves .

I made the change and now I am getting spiked skin that is pegged to the area behind the character. The shin is literally getting ripped off the characters face.

I included some photos.

as you can see the area in lower right side of the character is bulging as the character walks.

I erased the area where the weight was and instead of the area not being affected by the movement of the spine I get skinned being dragged behind the character?

I am fairly new to this but can anyone tell me what is going on?
