Round Edges on AI Spline in Extrude ?

Recommended Posts

I have no idea where to post this, so I posted here.

I imported a work path from Illustrator (ai file), and extruded it to create the model in the image below. Is there a way to make edges round so that the whole piece looks cylindrical (round) rather than hard edges? As you can see on the right, I'm still at the stage where I extruded the path. What would I do next to achieve what I described. Would appreciate the help.

This goes in deformers, generators & splines, which is where I have moved it for you.

You need to post the scene file (.c4d) so we can see the detail in your spline, and see if it is suitable to be just dumped in an Extrude Object...

Difficult to know what you mean by rounding as well - you need to be more precise, as I am not sure if you mean edge bevels (which you would get via the bevel settings in the Extrude Caps) or if you mean the curves in the actual spline itself.

We can help once you've done that...
