Projector Shader - Alpha Problem

So you wanna see the red in the bits the projector is not covering ?

 

I don't know why that obscures the lower layer, so I assume that must just be the way that shader behaves when tiling is turned off.

And if that is the case I don't think we can change that, but can possibly get around it by simply setting the Projector layer to Hard Light ?
