Hi Peeps

I use Xrefs a lot in my projects especially for character work. So when the Pose Library came along in R23 I was quite excited and it seemed to work… with characters in your existing scene.

However if I created an Xref character then the Pose Library doesn't work… I have found that if you remove the namespace for the Xref it does work but sometimes you need a namespace if you are using two versions of the same character (changing hairstyles and such in the scene).

Does anyone know of a work around to this?

Hi Animasthreede

Yes I did 🙂

Create an Xref character in your scene, create the poses. Then remove the namespace for it in the Xref attributes. Then when you create a new Xref of the same character or one using the same rig when you try to add the pose to it make sure that you put the namespace in the Matching field. That way it will look at the pose in the library and then apply the pose to the object that has that namespace - I hope this makes sense?
