I started another mini project, but this time tackling more than one Houdini topic together to see how can I set a pipeline. For this one I was doing Modelling, Hair, Rigging, Texturing and little bit of ZBrush. Will follow with simulation and dynamics. I must say Vellum simulations are pretty dope and amazing...

 

First real try with Houdini's Hair system.

Pika-wotsit lookin' good ! 🙂 Could we see him in some brighter, multi-directional  lighting, and get some closeups of that fur ?

I tried to get it, but for some reason I couldn't. But it was first try, so lets see if I can push this further.  Color is taken from the texture map, which is correct color but for some reason, Hair material renders what you see. Will have to dig more to see whats the issue.
