Best Way to Tweak MoCap Data for Precision

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a Rokoko suit and I'm quickly learning it's going to be hard to get super accurate animation data from it. So my question is, what is the best way to tweak this animation? It basically generates a keyframe for each frame.

An example would be that I want the hand of the character to touch the chin but in the mocap data it's off by a few inches. In After Effects I would create a null and parent the arm layer to the null and then create some new keyframes to move it into place over time to adjust the baked animation. Would something like that work in C4D or would the joints freak out if you try to add in nulls after everything is rigged?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
