Your example looked a bit like a generic setup for a robot arm with interchangable tools and maybe even arm parts. I have a couple of ideas how it would be possible to build a kind of template rig that could be quickly adjusted to fit variations of the parts. It is parametric stuff like that, where you spend a bit more time on creating one flexible solution to allow processing of large numbers of variations, where nodes can shine.
