Softbody "Skin" on a walking rig

Hello everyone,

 

I try to let a sausagy character interact with a very small door. So the character gets squeezed when it tries to fit through the door. 

But turning the skin into a softbody doesn't work. At first because of calculation time and secondly the bones get deattached from the skin. 

 

Any suggestions ho to solve that?

I have attached the c4d file.

If you have c4d 2023 the mix animation with the new simulation system should be what you are looking for. Just put a (new with jellyfish icon) softbody tag on the mesh turn on mix animation with force and set the force to something that still follows your animation enough but is not too strong to force through collisions. Also a collider tag on the doorframe (hanger icon).
