How to modify/get modified geometry from spline?

Hello,

 

I'm currently testing out scene nodes and I'm trying to figure out how point positions can be removed/modified.

In the scene / screenshot I'm trying to accomplish the following:

  • Have a "classic" input spline
  • Evaluate the control point's tangents
  • Based on the tangent angle, add/remove the point to/from array
  • Use the result as source to clone objects on.

 

Or simply put: I want to add an object to a control point, if it's angle is within a certain threshold.

I tried various things now but my lack of knowledge stops me here. I think, I simply missed an important concept.

 

Any help on the correct approach here? Thanks in advance!
