Octane Render ending all support for Cinema 4D R15-R20

Recommended Posts

After my reporting to Otoy about my troubles with Cinema 4D R20, and my subsequent cancelling of my Octane Render subscription, they wrote back to me that because of this they are ending all support of Cinema versions R15 to R20.

Thats a shame, they were really helpful recently when I was setting up the demo in R18 on a new PC. Wonder if that means they won't supply it or just won't support it. Ive not licensed it so far.

If you will ask on Octane forum you will get answer from Aoktar that there are real compatibility issues with older Cinema 4D versions this is why support is over. There is not possible to implement some new features.

I reported what they told me directly, but yeah, maybe there were other considerations as well or it was just the last straw.  Sort of the same as it is with me and Cinema.
