Lego V-Twin 8422

3DKiwi

This is a combination of parts modelled in Cinema 4D and Modo. My guess is around 40% C4D. The wheels, shock absorbers, bricks and a few other parts are Modo. The engine parts (it's fully animated as well) are all C4D from my previous Lego projects. The tyre tread is done with Sub polygon displacement in Modo. The stickers and tyre displacement map were made by me using Serif Draw Plus, a cheap vector drawing program.

Assembled and rendered in Modo 901.

Fantastic stuff Nigel.

I'd love to know whether Modo is easier or just more intuitive than Cinema when modelling.

I'm sticking with C4D because of the investment.

We miss you........

Both. The only things better in C4D are the Bevel tool and non destructive modelling i.e. splines with the likes of Extrude
