Ok, what they are doing there is massively cheating, which is understandable, as doing that properly would be a total nightmare 🙂
1. The bow in the middle is modelled in that position, then simply transformed down in scale, and ultimately switched off in the animation.
2. The 4 other bits could be pose morphed or otherwise point-level animated, with soft body dynamics taking over about half way through so they fall naturally.
