  1. Still getting that annoying yellow bar at the top of the page making the C4D site pretty much unusable.
  2. And now it made my last post hidden ??!!
  3. Sadly most IPB owners, and I include my past self, are brainwashed into getting the upgrades and the attendant headaches setting everything up. IF IT AIN'T BROKE.... The last forum was fine, as was the one before that. This one has teething issues which will be ironed out and then a new update will arrive. So many plugins ..so much temptation to stuff your pockets with sweets...in the case of IPB.... bloatware THE LAST FORUM WAS FINE but people are obsessed with the idea that last versions must be problematic version..all new versions must add value or so we are brainwashed into thinking. Get this new board fixed and then leave it as is unless there is a function that needs an update or a new plugin that is a must have come along.
  4. still getting that yellow bar telling me a web page is slowing down my browser etc ..firefox latest build
  5. That noise is too slow and too ring like..it looks like a sped up "Trans Mat" beam. Have you tried pyrocluster or fluids such as TFD ?
  6. I am sure XPExplosia is a powerful tool but without GPU simulation TFD blows it out of the water. I can easily create sims of millions of voxels in minutes when it would take hours on the CPU
  7. I think Redshift has a version of instancing where the instance is held on the hard drive. I am not sure but I think that is the point, it can be updated in an external app but check.
  8. Put that up on youtube please
  9. Here is an exhaust done with pyrocluster. If you want to do similar with TFD let me know.
  10. yes..add visible noise and/ or animate the visibility settings ( xpresso noise to the visibility parameters)
  11. Best and fastest way to do a blowtorch lamp is with a visible light
  12. TFD's major advantage over other simulation software on the market is TFD can simulate using the GPU. Embergen can do similar but it is not caching data to disk when simulating GPU simulating can be up to 10x faster than the CPU, get an 11GB GPU and you would rarely need to use the CPU If you go with TFD this should get you up to speed. Old video I made but the s/w has changed very little...er my son decided it was a good idea to add the green text !1 I cannot be ars*d to remove it.
  13. And yet I have no issues with TurbulenceFD seeing all my GPU RAM under Windows 10
  14. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/15b9654e-5da7-45b7-93de-e8b63faef064/windows-10-does-not-let-cuda-applications-to-use-all-vram-on-especially-secondary-graphics-cards?forum=win10itprohardware
  15. I was 18 when a girl bought me this .it was a life changing album..a life changing summer...Seems like yesterday...Drinking Sangria and smoking Sinsy in the Park. The last summer of the 70's..Oh did I see the 70's out or what !!!
  16. For me just doodling is relaxing. I build one up..spark up and just make doodles and watch it flow...man. Nearly as good as opening the grow tent an inch and blowing smoke into the light beams.
  17. Planning a nebula scene and messing around with options. This of course is not what I am after but I may as well put it up as it is quite pleasing and shows potential
