  1. I just purchased and installed C4Depot's Infinite Ocean and City Rig into C4D R23. I used them in a couple of project files that were not complete, but I had put a considerable amount of work into them. I initially had some questions which I submitted to all of the C4Depot posted email addresses repeatedly and received no response at all. Then, I just attempted to open up the two files today containing C4Depot Infinite Ocean and City Rig. With both files I got a "Cannot Open File" warning screen. Now, when I go to File/Recent Files in C4D these files are not listed. Plus I cannot locate them on my hard drive. I called up MAXON and asked them if they had ever heard of C4Depot or of files not opening or disappearing like this and MAXON said they had never heard of anything like this. Is C4Depot a legit company or not? Has anyone had any experiences with them? Please let me know. Thanks!
  2. Let me attempt to clarify what I'm ultimately trying to do. I'm trying to get the Mixamo character to open its mouth so that I can simulate the character singing. The character doesn't have to be animated or moving when the singing is occurring. The character can simply be standing still with its mouth moving. I've downloaded another version of the character in a T position with no animation but Facial Blendshapes Enabled. Now, I can get sculpting to stay put. However, what I'm trying to do is get the character to open its mouth. If I "knife" open the mouth with the knife tool I can see the teeth present behind the lips. But there does not seem to be any way to simply open the character's mouth to reveal the mouth and teeth without "tearing" open the mouth. (I've attempted to load the .fbx file, but it is 14.7 MB and is too large for this site load limit.) Is there a way to simply open the character's mouth?
  3. I’m working with C4D R21. I’m trying to make changes in the mouth/face of a Fuse/Mixamo human figure. I’m attempting to use sculpting in C4D to make those changes. When I use sculpting an other objects with the sculpting tools, they operate as they should. However, when I attempt to use them with the mouth/face of the Fuse/Mixamo figure, the changes take place as long as the mouse cursor is active. However, as soon as the mouse/cursor is removed from the screen the change snaps back to its original position. For example, if I Grab a portion of the facial mesh and move it, it moves. But, as soon as I release the mouse button, the facial mesh snaps back to its original position. Also, If I attempt to do the Subdivide function in Sculpt, the sculpt tools will not work at all. Any suggestions how to get sculpting to work so the sculpting changes made remain in place for this Fuse/Mixamo face? Thanks!
  4. Hello, There are three videos included in the Moves By MAXON Overview page -https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/moves_by_maxon/moves_by_maxon_overview. They serve as a great way to get started. They cover 1) Overview, 2) Download and Install, and 3) Capturing Motion Capture Data. I'm interested in using the Face Capture function for a Fuse/Mixamo .fbx character I've imported into C4D R21. I've installed the Moves by MAXON functionality into R21 and the Moves by MAXON app into my iPhone. I've successfully captured facial data on the iPhone and transferred it to C4D. So far, so good. But, I've been unable to locate any instructions on what to do next. How do you transfer the face capture data to the object figure? While the face capture object is active, the Attribute Manager > Object will have a Help button in the lower area. That is of some help as a reference, but it is not a tutorial of the steps and processes necessary to transfer the face capture data to the object. It would be helpful if additional videos were added to walk through the steps involved after the motion capture data is transferred to C4D. I have done what I can to bring this to the attention of Cineversity. They put together the initial set of videos mentioned above and did a good job with those videos. But in the meantime, I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to locate more information on the steps involved in using Moves by MAXON - beyond importing the facial data into C4D - especially for face capture data. How do you transfer the face capture data to the figure/object? Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
  5. Hello, I've been using Fuse/Mixamo to create animated human figures for C4D. I want to improve the animated figures to have facial animated movements including sync to voice. I just became aware of Moves by MAXON and the MAXON CV-AR Tool. Both of these can capture facial movements and import them into C4D. My question is if it is possible to take these facial captures and use them with the Fuse/Mixamo human animation figures in C4D? If it is possible, how can it be done? Please let me know if and how it can be done. Thanks!
  6. Thanks so much for your replies! I just came across this YouTube that suggests this can be accomplished easily using the Mixamo mouth shapes. Except it appears that it is geared for using Blender. It also mentions an additional script which is not clear if that is necessary for the mouth moves or ability to download the Mixamo file in the fbx. format. If Blender can do it easily using Mixamo mouth and facial shapes, one would think that C4D could also do it. Any suggestions how to use this "easy" approach in C4D. Here is the YouTube -
  7. Hello, I’m using Adobe Fuse to create and add 3D human animated Mixamo characters to a Cinema 4D project. I have the latest available edition of each. All is well except I would like to create some mouth movement to some of the characters. Apparently the Mixamo characters do not have the necessary meshing/rigging built in them to simply achieve mouth movement. As you may know, you can easily create animated human characters in Fuse/Mixamo and import them into C4D. My interest is to create mouth movements that would be synced to a song. I'm not sure how to create and add the necessary meshing/rigging in a Mixamo figure that imports into C4D with the meshing and rigging to display a full bodied animated adult, but does not have what is necessary to move their mouths. It appears that, if possible, I will need to add the mouth meshing/rigging, animation to a character who is already built to enable them to move their mouths. Please let me know if this can be done and if so, what is the process to do it? Thanks!
  8. Hello, I recently completed Salish Dream. Salish Dream is a 3D live action music video that takes the viewer into a Salish Sea dream sequence that guides the redemption of the hero. The hero is all who aspire to be creative and fully alive, but who at times feel boxed in and defeated. A dream visit to the Salish Sea confronts the hero with 3D animated spirits who move to Afro Cuban beats. By the end of this short eight minute video the hero regains his own vitality. Salish Dream is an attempt to create a modern day story of the power of the Salish Sea and how it can help us all regain our own vitality in a world where we can often feel drained. I’ve attached access to Salish Dream below: I hope you enjoy it. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
