Fantastic - thanks for the time, Kweso! I follow everything you've mentioned, but the area I'm struggling with is how to open the mesh at the edges? I've figured out a way for a straight line, but not sure how to replicate for a circle path. I'm looking into the collision deformer as well - didn't think about that. Thanks again! alemundo

Does anyone know or have done a surgical animation, particularly on circular path? I'm trying to figure out how I would go about animating the reference sample. Any help would be amazing and look forward to anyone's suggestions. Thanks for taking a look! -alemundo

I'm running a VERY old version of C4d - R16, but I've been able to do what I need to for several years. I've noticed some instability issues that are becoming more and more prevalent, and was wondering if there's any evidence that it's my version, and nothing else. I have a fairly good machine too. 32G RAM 16 Cores - I7 Processor 8 TB Drive • Material editor is a nightmare to use, lags every time I adjust a parameter. • Crashes are a lot more frequent, with no real complicated processes being done. I was hoping someone here, might have some more info. I'll gladly upgrade if it will solve the problem, but would like to see if this is the problem, first. Any info that matter would be AWESOME, thanks! -Jason
