  1. jbatista's post in Old symmetry options ever coming back? was marked as the answer
Actually i find somehow this new system more benefic. I understand that in the old one, the symmetry actually changes the object topology wich is a problem in a more parametric way of work. If that object has somekind of pose morph target, in the old system, that would be a major issue, because it would change the object topology under the symmetry object. In your first picture the image stays original and the symmetry actually creates a new mesh. I think that is a good idea in order to preserve original topology. Another option is to activate scene symmetryze tool and work from there. Since it is a tool and not a generator, it will change the object topology as you prefer.

i have here some examples that might help

1 - mirror or symmetry (option for modelling)
    2 - activate scene symmetry
    3 - scene symmetry options
4 - symmetryze and options (this one is probably the one you like more)
    5 - symmetrize selection options
    6 - symmetry generator tool

    cheers

    Hey

If you install the insydium bridge for c4d S26 you can still use those toools. Some are working better than others but overall it works.

  3. jbatista's post in Pose Library browser not working in 2023 version? was marked as the answer
    Hi

Just to say that i solved the problem.  Apparently it was a faulty preference file. Reseting the preferences folder solved the issue.

    cheers

Maxon aknowledges the error and for now and it will try to solve it in future releases.

Unfortunately, currently I cannot provide you an solution or a workaround to this issue."
  5. jbatista's post in Rigging Issues was marked as the answer
    Hey

I fast fixed your rig, but you have to connect controlers to joins and everything else.
Your rig is quite fragile, so you must be a more careful next time you built it. I recommend watching some tutorials or using the character built in tools.
Your mesh is also very problematic. I collapsed your entire geometry as one, replaced the axis in 0 and bind it to the joints. Next time you have to bind your mesh to rig by using a weight tag and a skin deformer.

    dont ik the fingers
your model has problems but nothing to do with subdivisions

    see if it works

btw your file is a student version. im not sure if you re able to open this scene file

    good luck
    cheers
