That is Modo feature not ACS, ACS just utilize it. You can have it without ACS addon, but definitely recommend ACS to anyone doing CA in MODO.

Modo is definitely one of my fav apps. It is small user base, so not much help from 3rparties. Slower development. But it really has some unique features. Even though I am using Blender from 2006 I would not switch my work from Modo to it. If they fix some well known bottlenecks in 16 series, that would be amazing.

@IcecavemanWon't argue that. Just wanted to say that my experience is totally opposite of 'needless headaches and complete waste of time'. For me it was just like if I used different theme. After update everything works as it was working on Windows 10. But yeah, could be different on someone else hardware or with software they use.

Upgraded Lenovo laptop, on day two. Everything works fine. Modo, C4D, Redshift, Houdini, Blender, Octane, Fusion, Resolve, 3dCoat, Affinity products ...Drivers too. Working on it every single day.

Not new. Not sure about price though, I think before was around 100 euro. Not 100% sure.

I stopped updating C4D around R20. Was using it side by side with Modo for some period of time. Main reason was cause C4D was more expensive to keep up with. So decided to focus more on Modo. Now, looking at releases of both, I must say I would like to see this level of development on Modo side. Just having Redshift is amazing step forward. So exactly what people here, that are complaining, are missing? I watched Rocket Lasso, what is new in R25, and there are few great things I would like to see within Modo. Also to mention I am using C4D for last two months regularly, got job that requires it, and honestly, it is breath of fresh air compared to latest Modo. So smooth workflow, 4k UI support, like color scheme, responsive UI when working on larger scene even with Redshift active, ooh and speed of Redshift. Did not play with Scene Nodes yet, but already see how smarter was developed compared to Modo MeshOps.

I suggest to definitely try 3Delight renderer.

@3D-Pangel What I do not understand is why would you lose you permanent license? Why would not you pay upgrade every year like you did so far? Is that option not available now?

Why would you switch to subscriptions and than go back to permanent? Why just not staying on permanent and pay maintenance/upgrade? I do not see point of adding one more layer of complexity...

No need for single character of Vex code if you want to do that, plus there are several ways of doing it without Vex. But lets not go offtopic, I can send you screenshot if u want.

No need for scripting either. But if you need more control VEX is there.

I do not think it has anything to do with license. Something else happened there. You might used digital asset from Apprentice or something like that.

To be fair, with Houdini you can do more without coding than with any other app out there. It is just that for TDs it is more practical to code in VEX than to use VOP nodes or other nodes to get results they want.

Hmmm for me here it would probably be 1000EUR ... MODO permanent license is 1600 EUR. I hate resellers business :D

On Dell XPS laptop with 4K resolution and scaling of 250% C4D looks too blurry. When I was checking (version 17) C4D was DPI Unaware in windows 10, thus crappy look. For example Blackmagic Fusion and Houdini are and they look amazing on every scaling option. MODO also looks too blurry and does not scale well.... Not sure is this changed in v19 though.

I would not agree on this part, you can do A LOT before even touch VEX or Python.
