    If you join slacks or discords you will see a very big difference in activity and responsiveness. I am on all of these from gsg to rocket lasso and I have direct contact with devs, professionals, ceos etc. Its not about how many users are subbed. Its how many are active. The big difference to eg. Mograph Slack where I am at, it has 500 people and we are all active. This made me learn Houdini in a few months. Here this is not possible. In core4d I only got replies from Cerbera or Bezo I think i remember very few names for a specific reason. In the houdini thread we were alone you and I 🙂 From all the places I participate Core4d and previously C4dCafe is the least active/responsive. While I like forums as I grew in them, nowadays seems I visit them less and less myself cause I can find real time responses anywhere else. Things have changed with real time chats.

    As I already said I am willing to support, but let's point out the fact there is no such thing as paid forums in the broad scheme of things. By reading the comments I start to feel and agree with the majority that this won't work. If you wanna help there are so many avenues. You can just do youtube tutorials and create a community there like MD. With video tutorials, people exchanging views in comments for free. Forcing payment or forcing things to run in a certain way in 2022 where internet= freedom is not applicable. You can do livestreams, you can gather people together around you as GSG does. You can sell your plugins via gumroad while promoting em in utube etc. Forums in general is a bit dated thing to be honest. Everything works different in 2022 with visual aids and realtime assistance like discord. All of these solutions are FREE. I understand for the forum owners that this is their child and its sentimental, but honestly from all the people I know in my industry I might be the only one that still login in forums and maybe this is because im 42 years old haha

    I 'd gladly pay even though i don't login often. But I don't think a paid type of forums is sustainable. It will end up a party of 10 or so. And no new user will apply I am afraid, as there are so many free resources out there. You can just ask in Reddit or social and you get all sorts of replies many of them from really good artists/professionals. There has to be a better way that can involve more people. Sorry to hear you are running in this sort of need.
  5. And just got a reply from the support that they don't keep bug tickets open until resolved. All these are unacceptable, unprofessional and irrational. And that is reflected on Fritz's replies. That is my honest feedback, you can hate me as much as you want.
  6. I get it but this thing about catalogues has been asked many times, has been discussed in public c4d presentations about features etc. Even GSG mentioned it. I mean I get everything, I am not pushing without a reason but when I get a tool as a feature and the tool is broken from the get go, what can I say after that? Don't release stuff. Or don't release and take em back. I did a tutorial the other day with the "passthrough effector" that was solving so many issues on mograph dynamics. Just to get informed by my students that after r23 (im still there btw) that is not working. Another feature, introduced in 1 version, got silently removed. What if I have projects based on that? Do you know how many months (if not a year) to get CV Layer working in r23? User had to make their own plugins. Lastly and there are 0 excuses there, why the icons are still broken? This is not professional handling on Maxon's end.
  7. And another one. Cases closed without even getting replies back on features we have been using for years that went silently removed.
  8. Back to the point: Let's see if any of these will get fixed in next version. Or if "export to alembic" is still the solution. Fyi today's reply from support in another bug: I hope our developer can find a fix for this issue soon. Unfortunately I cannot tell you, when and with which version this will be fixed, but you might check the release notes with each update to see Tired. Everyone else replies " We ll fix it on our next build" Everyone else..
  9. I would love to join Beta, but so far my experience is the following: I point out that something is broken and I get a reply "no it is not". This is already pushing me on my edge as I don't have the patience to babysit grown up people that do this for a living. Funny thing is that I contribute so smoothly with the Octane dev team for C4d. And here I get random accusations that I don't try to help. I also have 500-600 students on monthly basis on Patreon, teaching c4d, I do lectures, workshops, u name it! I help people get in the industry. But no, according to Fritz "I am trying to sabotage something"
  10. I would reply to each one personally as this matter got a big substance in social media. And I am so glad that it did! I get emails from x devs from users from all kinds of people saying that this is a pattern. People saying they left beta for this reason, informing me about the same kind of tension and denial they faced. The difference with everyone else and me, is that I don't care going out in public and say things as they are, even if i become rude after a point. But apparently everyone in here, prefers to have their heads in the sand and live in the forums. And not any forums, this one here where 2-3 people support each other. You may think users are ignorants or something, but I can assure you we are not. Blame it on language barriers as much as you like. I don't speak english natively either but I understand behind the words pretty well. No one bites those excuses. ps. Hey @kbar, I supported your stuff and bought em from time to time, despite the fact they were always kind of broken. And you know why? Cause you were super polite and helpful. Cheers!
  11. Concluding, yes I won't post again I ll direct talk to people in proper places as it makes more sense than arguing in forums with people that don't even like to hear feedback. FYI the reason my other colleagues do not post, is this exactly; they all feel pushed away and ignored and they don't wanna get frustrated. Or simply they are not nerds like me that sit after hours and try to solve work problems for everyone. This post represents the opinion/feedback of many artists I talked to last month about s26 new dynamics. And it's one thing debating in forums and another doing actual hands on work daily with demanding clients. Having to switch 10 tools cause your main 3d software cannot complete simple tasks like a cloth without collisions or caches that don't break is a bit dated in 2022. Cheers!
  12. Do you think I have time to post all these things or explore and help for free? Very few experienced c4d users are actually trying to help without being beta testers, the majority doesn't bother. The other day, for a similar thread, I had to email support 3 times for a broken feature and post about it here about 10 times as well. And stop acting like he's so cool and im the bad guy. This is getting out of proportions as a lot of people read it and agree with me.: His responses are indifferent, defensive, in denial and borderline rude. "i dont understand" "its just one button" "I already told you" " i wont comment". And this has a history of responses didn't came out of the blue. This is ongoing. Have you ever run your own business mate? Cause I do and if I ever consider be like this to my clients I will lose them the next day. But you are right I shouldn't be talking like this to anyone, despite the fact that I am being treated the same way.. I know why you try to side with him. But he can simply not respond if he lacks the social skills maybe he's good at his work but not at responding to people. A normal person would say "yes thank you we ll look into it" and end of story.
  13. As you see unless I start public posting again nothing will happen. He pretends he doesn't understand why rest length is important and indirectly rejected everything else I said. And says that he gave us the solution in something which was in his own words semi broken But other than that, This is a total waste of my time as probably Maxon developers are super bored and rude.

Hi Fritz, Thanks for the reply. - I can live with alembic. - About rest length this is impossible in c4d: https://www.instagram.com/p/CcxyeHNMReB/ - Definitely missing the pressure vertexmap and animating stretch is not the same thing. In Houdini it simply happens and there must be a way in c4d. Rest parameters are not important imo. Rest length (when added) and pressure are the only ones needed. - Ok about ropes I guess its not gonna work proper and easy right? I guess field force and mograph connection are out of the question? Trying to see if it worths checking this system further or stay in Houdini for proper cloth/rope control. Thanks!
  15. Heya, New dynamics system has great potential, once bugs get addressed and stability kicks in. I know developers lurk in this forum so I would like to add a list of features that I wanna see in next version that I feel are essential in order to art direct the new system: - A cache system that is robust and can write caches outside c4d (this is long time lacking). Houdini is a great example in that regard. - Field force support. - Rest length in cloth. The most crucial parameter to get detailed cloth and its missing for now. - Vertex map support in every parameter. These maps are essential in 3 places; bend/rest length and pressure. - Connection with cloner object/effectors. Eg. the ability to scale objects. - Follow position. - Constraints on rope that don't allow it to spin on it local axis. In Houdini this is an extra set of constraints found on hair instead of strings. Feel free to add anything that I cannot think of. I would expect some strong focus on this area for R27 as after fiddling with it a bit (and getting also the same feedback from a lot other people) the cloth is not production ready at the moment and its missing many things. Although is super fast, needs lots of love. Thanks!

  17. Hi, I am trying to automate things cause I manage many computers and I was wondering if we can add a custom location for C4d layouts/shortcuts/prefs etc I already did this with plugins but not sure if the rest are possible. Any ideas? Thanks

  19. And honestly read again all my posts that refers to as "being mad". Are super polite, with very clear instructions. In my last posts, yea time to rant as I don't see any communication happening with being cool. If Maxon doesn't wanna address honest feedback and is picky about my tone so be it. You can stick to my tone if you want, that won't fix the icons though. Nothing else to say here.
  20. Maybe i misunderstood him? I didnt read either from him or support a single "thanks we ll look into that". All i read is "do this change this" "manual says this" (from support). Instead i have to repeat and repeat the problem and no clear answer. So is it broken? You are not gonna fix it cause u think its fine? Its a simple answer, i dont need more instructions or replies that dont lead to a conclusion
  21. I am sorry if you get offended or have the need to defend your choices. Thats how things work though, users say what the problem is, companies listen. You called a "little thing" turbulence not functioning. The whole problem with c4d is that people are not complaining enough so Maxon is relaxed and "little things" pile up. Its unacceptable that my ui has empty icons and small suns in so many places after a dedicated version in UI changes and 6 months later for fixing that aspect. My 2 cents
  22. Hi Fritz, I don't know you, I didn't know you are a dev and it wasn't addressed to you. And I will be as mad as I want in twitter or anywhere else, cause support simply isn't helping me here. You do realise I am a paying customer for years as every other person that has the same issue/request? Saying that something isn't broken and justifying it over and over is simply not the way. Say something like "we will look into it" and end of story, I ll go back to Vellum either ways and I will stop promoting the cloth system. Only reason I am even testing this thing is for educational purposes. But my students come and say "hey this is not working what am I doing wrong". Support was quoting me on manual as if I opened c4d first time. I have never complained to support about all the problems c4d has and I 've been working around them for years with my core focus in doing all sorts of simulations and actually managing that with the 0 performance c4d provided.. If you think that I am crazy or I don't understand what's broken, there is nothing else for me to say and i ll just shout in all social media till this is fixed. Still you didn't provide me any scene examples with working turbulence in small scale. and you clearly don't read when i say repeatedly that it works in the 1000% but frequency is broken, force acts like frequency, there is no way to have small scale anymore etc etc etc. So long story short without shortcuts, you are not willing to change the turbulence as in your opinion it is correct? I need a straight answer here please. Thanks for your understanding.

  24. The only work around is to have it over 1000, thus u cant use small scale turbulence. And even there still behaves weird. As you mentioned can't have one system (bullet) working in ranges 1-100% and the other to 1000-10000% both affected by the single/same force, its impossible to combine anything this way. I had to email support 4 times to start investigating as they kinda said what you said that its fine. Please if you can, attach me a file where you can have small "noise"pushing the cloth around. I played with all settings and seems impossible.

Hi Fritz, I don't know how to state it proper or the technicals behind it, but turbulence is indeed broken as it behaves now; It doesn't even move the cloth in space no matter how high strength is. If this was changed intentionally then something went wrong there. You cant have small turbulence and cloth moving, only large scale one moves the cloth. This is not the expected behaviour since many versions now and in fact, its not a working behavior. It has destroyed all of my setups so far. See a very small example which demonstrates the issue clearly: Ty
