  1. Hello, believe me I'm really thinking of going back to R19. Not only because of this but also because of all the plugins and functions that are no longer supported in R21, as well as the fact that older files can no longer be opened by c21... it literally tells you when you try to open them: use R19 to convert them.... which I find completely absurd but that's another topic. In any case, I'll have to wait until I finish my current projects before doing anything that might backfire on me.
  2. Hello, sorry about the lack of detail. I thought maybe it was something others had run into already, being that it happens so often to me, so there'd be a relatively straightforward, easy fix. To answer your questions: This happens when using any render engine, and it doesn't seem to be linked to any specific settings: I've tried with and without GI, with and without AO, physical render, standard render... anyway, basically all combinations I usually work with. The same thing does not happen when I render to the Picture Viewer nor when I use IRR: in both cases everything works as it should. My computer's drivers are all up to date, and I have no similar issues with any other video-related software. I'm using R21.115 (Build RB297076) and no longer have R19 in this computer (but it worked fine before I updated). And I haven't yet tried updating or anything because I'm in the middle of some projects and last time I updated C4D in the middle of some projects it "broke" and I had to basically waste a week of time in order to fix it, as uninstalling and installing again wouldn't work (and this set me back a lot in my projects). Which is another reason why I've been somewhat putting off getting to the bottom of this particular issue, but as I mentioned in my post it's just now that I'm realising this issue really is affecting my workflow in terms of time, so I haven't really tried anything to fix it before. I have searched online for a possible solution and can't seem to find anyone else with the same issue (I did find a YT video from 2015 I think that recommends turning off OpenGL, which isn't an option in R21).
  3. After updating to C4D R21 I've been having this issue that about every other time when I hit CTRL+R to render out my view I get a completely black view, ie it renders as complete black, nothing. I have to hit Render View once again an then it renders correctly. Initially I though it wasn0t the end of the world but as this is happening almost every other time, I've come to think that this is severely slowing down my workflow... Why could this be happening? I'm running it on a Windows 10 PC, with an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics 2.90 GHz Processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti (GDDR6 4GB) graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and me previous version of C4D (R19) worked correctly.
