  1. Hi, all. I'm wondering if there is a way to resize the backplate in the dome light from inside C4D. When I load an image of a sky into the backplate, the image is too large. I'd like to scale it down so that the clouds are smaller, but can't figure out how to do that within C4D. Is it even possible? The camera will be panning around, so I'd like the sky to rotate with it. Thanks! Marc
  2. Thanks for taking a look. I'll do some more digging. My UV unwrapping skills are untested at the moment. It's on my radar to learn, though.
  3. Actually, I think you nailed it. Tried baking out the texture, not the object, and got the message "couldn't find UV tag". Here is the project, if you'd like to take a look. I modelled the character in Zbrush, brought it over to C4D, textured it, and added a few things. The object I tried baking is called Barbarian v4 in the object manager. https://we.tl/t-h4U5kVxF47 Thanks for the help.
  4. Hi, all. I've baked out an object with multiple textures and was surprised to see that the result was a solid red texture. This is the first time I've tried baking an object and am hoping someone might be able to tell why this occurred? I use Redshift and it still displayed solid red after converting it to a redshift material. Thanks!
  5. Hi. I've modelled a character and would like to connect everything to create a single object for FBX export. I've added hair to the model, but it keeps disappearing when I select all and hit connect + delete. Hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Would really like to keep that hair. Thanks! Marc
  6. Hi, folks. Hoping someone might have an answer for me. I created a character in Fuse, rigged it in Mixamo, imported the T-pose into C4D R20 and want it to react to being hit by a bullet. I added a rigid body tag to the character and a collider tag to the bullet. Dynamics is enabled on both tags and trigger is set to collision. For some reason, the bullet goes right through the character without the character reacting to the impact. I was able to get the character to recognize the rigid body tag by first combining and deleting and creating one object, but then I lost the ability to pose the character. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I realize I can use a Mixamo bullet hit animation, but wanted to see if I could get it the character to react without the canned animation. Thanks in advance. Marc
