They are trying to bury it. nobody in right mind changes that brand name of the forum after so many years. i'll take a guess and presume @Igordid not wnat to toe the line of some sort, hand over the forum, censor posts, give database data or whatever was askde for and was then threatened with legal stuff and who knows what and support was cut. shameful display of corporate bulling. @DMcGavransimply refuses to shed some light on it which strongly indicates faul play from Maxon. Not sure this is something that nemetschek is aware of, they would probably be interested to get to the bottom of it. Will try to dig out some contact there

Forum is having membership fee which is introduced because you pulled support, but if that is not true then please be straight forward about it. So, dear mr @DMcGavran, did you stop supporting this community which is de facto only Cinema 4D communtiy? I am sure you are not working for free, right? Something has to pay for expenses, right? My small company has a dedicated server for way less traffic and space that this forum certainly has and it is 400$ per month. We also pay a considerable fee for security and spam defense. This is most likely just a small part of expense of the forum. dont get me wrong, i would love to see the forum completely open but seems that days when Maxon saw real value in community are gone. Subscriptions is all that matters, which, from business standpoint is perfectly valid but community and its knowledge base draws new subscribers, so it seems to me that Maxon is shooting itself in the leg. jsut my two cents.

We are paying because for some reason Maxon decided to ditch the support and also forced @Igor to change the name. I am trying but am failing to find benevolent explanation and @DMcGavran is avoiding the answer in usual corporate fashion by putting up smoke screens. If anyone can find a sensible, reasonable explanation where you pull out support from your only community that brings you customers and force it to change name I would like to hear it. @BoganTWsorry mate but you sound like a corporate shill and jump in in any topic where Maxon is mentioned to defend them. THere is no other forum worth mentioning out there. My colleagues all registered but were also wondering why is the forum behind paywall but truth is all the questions are answered here only

I tried signing out to see what is accessible and seems front page and all the topics are visible but threads contain "register for full' access. pretty sure Igor did best what he could, it is likely that it is not finacially viable. is the story about impsoing name change true? that is really shitty if you ask me but who knows

Got it even though I don't need beginner stuff but helps the forum : P not sure if it helps people but alot of good tips and is very profesionally done, you can see an effort that was put into it. I like the voice, it is crazy how well AI become. someone else said that there is no stuttering,breathing sounds etc and I find that to be contributing to overall 'pro' fell to it. well worth the money.

I think most people don't vote, therefore don't vote in polls. Same as with thousands of people who don't or rarely post. I never vote in polls : )

I am quite puzzled to see that Maxon is not supporting the forum, it look like great strategic asset(?). The 10 eur fee seems symbolic and I will gladly go for it. This is the place I got all the answers and even one of the Maxon guys helped free of charge in private chat with one scene. Dear Igor, you seem like a decent guy and seems you did all to avoid this. If Maxon is not willing to help out for whatever reason for forum that works for them that is perfectly fine, consider than using some of your houdini or other contacts to see if they are willing to assist you. Try pinging beeple if you can contact, he has millions and I don't think he would refuse to help out : )

@RBarrett I think you have a tough job being the front face of this shipwreck. certainly you are a company man and trying your best but the facts remain. this is the poorest release ever and it simply can't be that you people are not aware of that since that would constitute, sorry to say, mass delusion. reading on what 3dpangel says it seems you guys lost mograph guy which is, whatever circumstances of that are pure loss. i watched his award winning speech and he seemed very eloquent and humble since he mentioned whole bunch of people there. at least i know how to pronounce on of the admins name now 🙂 bottom line is, Cinema is looking very poor and that is always management fault. maybe it is intentionally weakened by current ceo so it can be swallowed by adobe or some other mastodont which would be extreme but hey, it is effin release 25 and if one would say that this would be it 10 years ago he would be called crazy sorry folks, I am not throwing money at pencil pushers and outright hypocrites, total crap release, just plain madness for dinosaur toolset. got myself blender and will chip on it. Which features? lol What is in there would constitute a service pack rather then full point release. Something broke in Maxon and it broke really bad. They went from charming underdog with unique features to adobe wannabe with splash of autodesk buyout policies. completely disappointed with this and whoever is honest about it will be too, no marketing can save this one. time to dive into Blender and Houdini more

This release is a disgrace, simple as that. I suspect they ran out of time with some new stuff but it seems they are struggling to deliver since they lost their best people. One can notice that people who worked for Maxon previously are now moving on (check this forum and social media for hints) so it is clear that thigns are going south. nobody talks mograph anymore since it is dead now once the main developer who was in fact the brain behind it left. He posted he is now turning towards Unreal and Blender Also it seems that this community is turning into general one instead of Cinema only and Igor worked there so there must be a reason. He is most likely well aware of how things will go so he is transforming the community slowly So, if someone from Maxon managers is reading this, well, you guys dropped the ball and it is time to do some proper investigation why your software is failing and community dissolving in Lightwave fashion. I would say that there is very little time to reverse this, judging by comments here and all over the place. If you have no clear goal in sight community can surely help, just ask

I have been trying out nodes and got stuck a bit. what would be the easiest way to create array from values that are changing with time? say I want to save array with 30 values of cube position which is changed by time thanx

So, you built this node with nodes or it is programmed? I don't see it in presets. if so how did you make red indicators where surface is detected? as far as I looked there is no node which outputs some shapes
