Isotropix have ceased new sales of Clarisse iFX.
No public announcement yet, but maybe tomorrow or next week.
They released a Service Pack (SP12) which removes node lock on licenses for existing customers and will allow installs on two separate machines for perpetuity. Will provide bug fixes but no new features for the foreseeable future.
Alarm bells went off when the Isotropix staff and CEO just disappeared without warning from the Discord channel yesterday, removed IG, Facebook profiles, and multiple videos from YouTube. Also removed Early Access installs of Clarisse that had their hybrid GPU/CPU render engine Angie.
People that work in studios relayed word into Discord channel throughout the day of phone calls from Isotropix to their studios of an upcoming announcement, but light on details.
It was a pretty niche software that had small amount of large clients with DNEG, ILM, Dreamworks, Marvel and other studios using it on different projects.
