  1. I’ll have a chat with my instructor - thank you! Thank you for the feedback, Igor! I will optimize!
  2. Getting bored of this - what else should I add? Need some feedback. Thanks!
  3. Hey all! I am wanting to render my object with shadows only so that I can import it into photoshop and then put it on other backgrounds of my choice. Is there a way I can render the object and shadows separately?
  4. Lots of different ways. Are you changing the color in the "root"? You can use a gradient there and it works.
  5. Okay, you need to enable Axis then reset the position of the coordinates to 0,0,0 in the coordinates manager and make sure it's in World. Huge bug in V Ray, hopefully temporary fix.
  6. Just make a Shader like the attachment and tweak the settings how you want your wood to look. Also make a black and white bump map.
  7. Hello all! I am using V Ray 5 and I am having issues rendering my hair. It doesn't want to stick to my object! Any ideas where I am going wrong?
  8. Well, I'm using V-Ray 5 but before V Ray 5 it took hours to render too.. so wasn't too sure if that really mattered. I'm using Mac i5
  9. Can someone give me a a rough idea of what the time frame should be to render this image using Vray? Let's say it's 3500px x 3500px. https://www.behance.net/gallery/109557099/Synth-Land/modules/627467849 Thank you!
  10. Hello all! It's your favorite member again with yet another newbie question. Can someone tell me the basic shape for this character? Would it be a sphere and I extrude the top or would I use a capsule shape and extrude the belly part? Or none of the above?
  11. Ok I'm back after many a failed attempt. Attached is a picture of what I'd like to achieve - thoughts on the best route for this specifically? I want to make it look like an object is making an indent inside another object.
