  1. 50,000 hairs 20,000 guides Thank you!! its starting to look like yarn finally! Obviously still needs work but half the battle is won.
  2. So making the sweep editable and adding a normal tag seemed to fix the uniformity of the hair across the mesh, it's unfortunate I couldnt retain the sweep and keep everything procedural and non destructive. thank you! This forum is awesome. I had no idea the guides affected the rendered hairs, I thought they were strictly a viewport reference. Clearly I need to do more research on the hair feature in C4D..
  3. cranking up the points on the curve seemed to help a bit, but the results still are not uniform across the mesh.. I am going to take the curve into houdini and see if resampling the points might help..
  4. Wow fast reply thank you! Though it didn't solve the issue. I feel like it's because I have a "rotate" on the sweep? I wonder if that's causing the mesh to be stretched or something..
  5. Does anyone have ideas on why my hair object is not distributed evenly on the mesh? Instead it's all clumpy and only in certain areas. here is a link to the C4D file for anyone who has ideas https://wetransfer.com/downloads/8cdffb87921f20d87ce06642547622fc20210702160650/e852faae84fd7033dca1bf9db526024520210702160714/4ba2fb
