  1. SOLVED! For anybody else that may be running into this issue here's how i solved it: 1. The material is assigned to the Bathtub object itself, which is under a Subdivision surface object. You will need to assign the material to the Subdivision surface object or make it editable. 2. Upon reviewing scene again and again I noticed that the Material override option in the V-Ray settings was enabled (@DasFrodo thank you for that). This option would override any material, assigned to any object with an override material, set in this option. If you do not select any specific material in the override option it will use a default material.
  2. Hi, I cannot seem to figure out why materials are not showing up in the IPR. https://imgur.com/a/hvBe6J8 Any idea why this is happening?
  3. That was thorough! Thanks a million. You guys are amazing. Such gems and very urbane - reddit would've chewed me and spat me right out lol Thank you man, immensely appreciate your feedback.
  4. I have 3 questions: Most of the tutorials out there on YouTube are very straight forward regardless of how comprehensive the category is (e.g. modeling, texturing, etc..) It's nice to create a melting ice cream or a have a particle logo animation, but I feel like I'm going nowhere with this. Q1. For the people that are experienced and have done projects, what is the typical workflow for a 3D project - whether its a 1 min commercial clip or a 5 min product explainer. 1. moodboard/storyboard 2. concept illustration/draft sketch (to see how the animation should be done) 3. (e.g. modeling, texturing, etc..) 4. compositing in after effects 4.1 Sound design perhaps? Q2. Can you create 2D/flat animation (e.g. like this one https://youtu.be/8LvW1YeHeEs?t=85) entirely using C4D? If yes, how? Is it a matter of importing illustrator character files and rigging them? Q3. How do you transition from a scene to a scene? Example from 00:44 to 00:47 and 00:58 to 01:02 And how do you seamlessly transition from a long scene into another? 01:07 to 01:28 Here's the reference clip, "Dream" by Omid Seraj
  5. Dan I could kiss you so hard right now lol thanks man. My eyes lit up when i changed the settings and saw the difference.
  6. Two questions: #1. I have two simple projects, one is an animation (https://imgur.com/a/8pJEj0I) and the other one is just objects stacked together (https://imgur.com/a/goTHWeR), an illustration basically - I'm fairly new to C4D so bear with me. How do I get a still/illustration from the first project (the animation) without rendering the entire 1000 frames? I wanna use it as a wallpaper or for instagram for instance. #2. I always get a blurry/pixelated picture whenever I render (physical) the project with the stacked objects. Here's the final image exported in PNG https://imgur.com/a/iyY0HtJ and here's the image from the render viewer: https://imgur.com/a/x0ObIqC I've added all the settings that i'm using in this picture. https://imgur.com/a/ld5yZUS Any help would be greatly appreciated cause I'm just lost here with this.
