  1. Yep, it figures. Any way of making it symmetrical again, without going out of cinema 4d?
  2. So, my geometry needs to be re symmetrized. I created a sculpt tag and used the 'Sculpt Symmetry ' command but it does nothing. If I check find nearest point it messes up the points. Otherwise none of the options seem to do anything. Does the command not work on non symmetrical geometries?
  3. So, I was able to automate the process of making the intermediate shape for the PoseMorph transition smoothly from base shape to intermediate shape then at last to the final shape, with math nodes in Xpresso. For future reference I am uploading the file here. Intermediate Pose Morph 1a.c4d
  4. So, I made an intermediate pose and was able to smoothly transition between it and the main pose by key frame animating it, now I just need to automate it with xpresso. So one Range Mapper node for turning up the intermediate pose morph's strength to 100% when the custom control is at 50%, and once the custom control goes above 50%, another Ranger Mapper should dial down the intermediate pose morph's strength down to 0% gradually. Problem is I don't know how to switch between these two Range Mappers😁 I have a feeling the condition node might work in this scenario. Can anyone help me with the xpresso setup? 5. For example while turning up the strength of a pose morph from 0% to 100% I didn't like the way it looks when the strength is at 50% and I want to make it look the I want when the slider is at that particular strength. How do I create intermediate pose morphs? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi, I created a new take to hide the textures in the materials as they were getting in the way. Now that I am done with fine tuning the animation on this new take, I want to transfer it to the main "Take" as I have no more use for it, but I can't seem to find a way to transfer it to main take. Please suggest a solution. Regards.
  7. It was the latest drivers that I was having the issues with. Sometimes latest isn't the greatest for older hardware. Rolling back to an older driver fixed it.
  8. Arnold renderer has something similar to what I need. Is there anything like this in C4D? It's called 'Clip Geo'.
  9. Hmm. Is there anything like a clipping plane but only sphere or cube shaped? That could be used to not render things that's outside the shape, which could help in creating a looping ground with actual geometries.
  10. Hi, creating a sliding ground that can be used for endless looping with seamless texture is easy. But any ideas for how to create it with geometries? Best Regards.
  11. I am very happy to say that I have found a driver that works without any issues. It's 'WacomTablet_6.3.13w3' and all the buttons and pen pressure works flawlessly.
  12. Yes I have checked, with the settings on and off. If somehow it's possible to make C4D use Wintab drivers like I do for Photoshop, I have a feeling it should fix the issue. But what's bothering me even more is that the pen's buttons starts working normally if I keep C4D's preference window open. What sort of voodoo is going on?
  13. Thanks Igor. Yes I have enabled Graphics Tablet. I deleted the Preferences folder and checked to see if it was corrupted but it didn't work. It's got something to do with Windows Ink, I believe. But why does it work when I keep the preferences window open? Very strange.
  14. Hi, in C4D R18 my Wacom Intuos 4L works as intended. But in R23 I have to keep C4D's preference window open to make the pen's button work correctly. The button I have set as right click starts working as Left click if I don't keep the preference window open. Also the pressure seems to go all haywire. I have disabled the press and hold for right click already in windows 10. Does anyone have a solution. Best Regards.
  15. Hi, ARTE thanks for the reply. I have found a way. I baked the position of the null that is 'Clamp Constrained' to the skinned surface, then changed the priority back to 'Expression' from 'Generator'. That way the lag is completely eliminated from the viewport. A note for self, anything that needs to be evaluated after Skin deformer should have a positive Generator priority i.e more than -1 and probably even 0. The issue here is we can't set the priority for the spline, hence even though the nulls which are constrained to the surface behave accordingly the spline lags. So the solution is to bake the null's position and rotation with the priority set to 'Generator 1' then once it's baked change it back to 'Expression'.
  16. Hi, everyone C4D's priority lag has halted my progress once again. This time it happens when I apply an Up Vector Constraint on joints with IK spline. Even when I set the constraints' priorities to higher numbers, they still gets computed before the IK and lags the entire joints chain. Please check the file and tell if it can be fixed. I have uploaded two scenes, one is a simple[Spline IK Test] recreation of the original scene which is somewhat complex. Best regards. Priority Issue.c4d Spline IK Test.c4d
  17. I used the nulls to create a spline with 'Tracer' and that spline which I generated with 'Tracer' lagged too. Seems like there aren't any fix to the rig left anymore😖, I may have reached C4D's limit😣
  18. Thanks CAIRYN. I suspected it could be an issue with Cinema 4D. So I guess it's a limitation with the program and unfixable? It makes me sad😭 as I will have to leave the project at the current state as there seems to be no solution to the issue. It's a shame.
  19. Hi, I have run out of ideas to fix the lag in this very simple rig. Two nulls are attached on two skinned surfaces and a spline is attached to those nulls. When I rotate the surface the nulls sticks to the surface and there aren't any visual lags, but the spline which is attached to the nulls lags a lot. Please check the file and see if there is a solution for this lag. Initially I was planning on sharing the end product freely in the community, but now I am stuck on this for way too long without a fix. I posted a similar thread before but I didn't get any replies, hopefully I will get some solutions this time. Best Regards. Inquisitor Simple Scene Recreation.c4d
  20. Hi, is the 'skin' reason for the lag in my rig? I have attached Nulls to a skinned geometry with clamp constrain. And a spline is attached to those nulls with xpresso, I tried with 'Tracer' too, my problem is the spline lags no matter what. Is there a fix for it?
  21. Hi, I am having a hard time fixing lag in my rig. When I rotate the head or the chest control, the spline that connects the holes between the head and the back keeps lagging. https://mega.nz/file/lrBCVJrT#vM5hih-TeqgtDiXsZv0qyJqh2aawknKs2SPthJoaKo8 I tried setting the priority to a very high number still the lag exists. It's more apparent when reset PSR is pressed after rotating the chest and head control. Nulls are attached to a skinned geometry with clamp constrain. And a spline is attached to those nulls with xpresso, I tried with 'Tracer', and it lags too. As we can see from the gif the pipe lags a lot. Please check the file from the link. Regards.
  22. I took Bezo's file and spliced it with Evergreen's idea. And I like the result that I have got. Now, I have UV to work on and an almost stable pipe rig. Almost because in some angles, I have noticed the pipe twisting along it's z axis like crazy Dynamic Pipe with Spline Wrap.c4d
