  1. I have R21, I'm trying to export an fbx and keep getting little bits and pieces of the model instead of the whole thing. I've tried selecting children, connecting objects + delete, and also current state to object--which has worked in the past. I'm not sure if it's the way I've constructed my model. It's a bit thrown together and I have everything in a null. Also, maybe the subdivision or symmetry objects are causing issues, but I can't think why that would be. Could someone take a look at the file and try playing around with it in order to export the fbx in its entirety? I'd appreciate it alot. I also understand the later versions of C4D might not have issues, but mine sure does. Thank you! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gu9dnot3kxgqtox/AACbvRIZCHydH-5DK4eRb1Bua?dl=0
  2. When face modeling for example, I use the symmetry method; but then I want to be able to make small adjustments to each side of the face. How can I do that within symmetry?
  3. It works and is perfect!! Thank you so very much Bezo! 🙂 By any chance, can you tell me basically what you did to achieve this? I tried lots of ways with no results and would love to know what worked. I really appreciate it!
  4. This question may not be coming out right. I have an animated model downloaded from Mixamo, and a piano in the same scene. I want to bake the textures for both so I can export the player and piano as a single fbx. Is it ok to combine the two into one null object before baking? When I tried grouping them, and then baking, the textures went insane. Granted, texture baking has always confused me, and the complexity of having a model that came with baked texture already may be causing issues, too. Can you bake an object that has a baked texture already? I'd really appreciate if anyone can take a look at this file and let me know what the best approach for baking the textures for these two objects so they can be exported as one fbx. I couldn't upload the file because there are 5 files larger than the limit, so I'll link a dropbox. Please let me know if it doesn't work for you! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kcla9s8dznullrn/AABkotUHL2Xxho4f3VvSqka8a?dl=0 Thank you so much!! I realize it's nota simple task, but this would clarify a lot of misconceptions I might have about baking in order to help me going forward.
  5. I made a luminance texture with a gradient, and have keyframed the gradient in several colors. I need to cache or otherwise bake the animated gradient texture into the model, but am having issues with it. I need to be able to export in glTF format. Bake object and Bake Material haven't worked, which I assumed would not anyway; is there a way to bake gradient animation? glTF supports luminance, and I've tested it by exporting a glb with a static gradient in its luminance channel--so that shouldn't be an issue. Having the gradient animation actually bake correctly into the glb is another story.I'd greatly appreciate any tips, and am including the file below. Thanks! harmonia.c4d
