  1. I switched from Lightwave to Cinema 4d about a year ago. And despite some initial confusion I must commend C4d for how easy it was to get started. And whenever I get frustrated I just open Zbrush for a few minutes. After that, all other programs seem extremely user friendly and logical.
  2. Thanks! The sinking into the floor turned out to be hard to get rid of entirely. I ended up adding a tiny size increment to the floor.
  3. Thanks Dasfrodo! It works much better now. I will have to play around with the settings to find the sweet spot. Here's a quick render. Not perfect, but good enough for my purposes (some of the pieces seem to sink into the floor slightly, for example).
  4. Sorry about that. Here's the scene file. Glass jar with stoppers 2.c4d
  5. I’m breaking a glass jar for an illustration, but the smaller pieces just fall right through the floor. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but as it’s my first brush with C4d dynamics I’m sure I’m missing something. The jar is a lowpoly, single-sided model. I’ve broken it into several large chunks manually (into separate objects). Those break up perfectly, scattering on the floor. But for the last piece, I just selected the remaining polys and applied Disconnect and then Fracture. They break apart nicely, but then fall right through the floor. I’ve duplicated the dynamics tag from the other pieces and applied it to both the Fracture object and the glass shards, or one but not the other - no change. I’m out of ideas to try. What am I missing?
  6. I haven't figured out texturing yet. Just fooling around with different materials so far. How's the integration with Substance Painter?
  7. Hello everyone, I'm taking my first steps in C4d. Looking forward to joining the community.
