  1. Hi, I have an Adobe Suite subscription and my understanding is that I can activate a C4D Lite account. When I open the app, a MAXON Licence Manager window opens up, inviting me to activate my C4D Lite Licence. But after I click "Activate" the Licence Manager seems to load indefinitely and the C4D app never activates / loads / opens. Has anyone ever had that problem / knows how to solve this? Cheers!
  2. I just checked and the animation isn't working when I open the fbx or obj file in C4D Here are the export settings of the fbx file: I
  3. Hi @Lonchaney, Thank you for your feedback! I'm trying to bring my obj/fbx file into Blender to make the gltf export from there, but it seems, again, that the animation doesn't show in Blender... I've exported my materials too, but they won't show in Blender either. I've tried with a different file and animation and the same problem happens. I've added the Blender file to the link I previously sent. I feel like I'm doing something wrong either with the baking of the animation or the export settings of my files. Do you know what it could be? Thanks,
  4. Hi, I am writing because I've been struggling with the gltf export of my 3D scenes and their animations : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qwACjtcVLJdArQfw5tlNOe9nXNaFH3Jk?usp=sharing - Scene 1 : A simple cloth animation and turbulence is applied on a sphere - Scene 2 : A cube explodes (Explosion FX) I tried many different solutions and their combinations: - Baking the animations (Window > Timeline Dope Sheet > Functions > Bake objects) - Calculating cache of my simulation tags - Ringging tag > point cache - Exporting with different gltf export settings But each time I upload the exported gltf file in my web viewer (https://sandbox.babylonjs.com/), the animation doesn't show 🤯 Does someone know what might be going on here? 🙏 Thank you,
  5. Hi @zeden, Thanks for your feedback! I did select all the materials, but it doesn't do the trick. You seem to be on Windows + R19 Studio, whereas I am on MacOS Catalina on R23 Studio, maybe that's why it works for you and not for me. Could you show me what you have in your zip file? Because my zip file seems to be missing some of the script files (see enclosed). Thank you,
  6. @zeden either I installed it the wrong way or I'm missing script files in the zip file you provided. Do you have the missing scripts?
  7. Oh wow this would be lifesaving, thank you do much! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. I downloaded and donated via the link you sent me and watched the tutorial, the scripts seem to appear in my User scripts but (see screenshot enclosed): - Nothing happens when I click on them - I don't seem to have the same options as you in your video (only the "Octane Roundtrips2" Do you know what the problem might be? I wonder if it's the way I installed it maybe? I tried different methods: - In c4d : Extensions > User scripts > Run script > "Octane Roundtrips2.py" - In the c4d scripts folder on my computer : Copied the unzipped "Octane Roundtrips2.py" file At both iterations I restarted c4d. It would be life-saving if you had a solution!
  8. Thank you. Do you have a link to that script on the MAXON website? I couldn't find it
  9. Thank you for replying and sorry about the lack of info! I just updated my profile. I'm running on: - Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 - Cinema 4D R22 - Octane X - Metal GPU About the second question, my file seems to be to heavy and I couldn't upload it Is there any way we could solve this without the scene file? Maybe we could solve this without a file, because my question is more generic as well (concerns multiple files): - How do I make my Octane materials show on a gltf or obj export, for them to render on 3D web viewers such as https://gltf-viewer.donmccurdy.com/ ? - How can I make my Octane materials render on C4D's built in renderer (standard) ? I wonder if to solve both problems the solution is to convert my Octane materials into C4D ones? But I couldn't find any way to do that online. If there is no way of doing this conversion, do you know how else I could solve those issues?
  10. Hi, I'm new to c4d and Octane and was wondering if there was any way to convert Octane materials to c4d ones, so that I can render them with c4d's standard renderer? I need to be able to do this to solve several issues I've been facing: - Exporting a gltf or obj format for the web that will render my Octane textures (when I try to export my 3D models in those formats, my Octane textures don't show in the exported file - see screenshots enclosed) - Mixing Octane materials with c4d ones (ex: a Sketch and Toon wireframe sphere containing another object with an Octane render texture applied to it, etc.) If someone has a solution I would really appreciate it! Thank you 🙂
