  1. Hi I'm trying to create a scene similar to the example in my screenshot with polyester threads with redshift, but can't get it to look right. It seems the RS material only affects part of the image no matter how I set up the blending mode and the c4d hair controls most of the look which does not have a lot of options. If I set the RS hair shader to water or tinted glass for example which I think would be a good starting point only the highlights change, but not to the material preset I selected. I tried going though all settings isolated and setting different colors to see the effect, but can't get that look unfortunately. I uploaded a sample scene here: https://we.tl/t-sPCKgcC50p Thankful for any pointers! :-)
  2. Hi is it possible to plugin displacement with a noise map and sub surface scattering into the redshift hair shader in cinema 4d somehow? This is the effect I want to achieve: Thank you for reading! 🙂
  3. Hi I'm trying to animate a fabric strand, similar to this tutorial: I want some hair on top of the hair to give more detail as in the video. The problem is that the second hair layer with the small hairs moves a lot along the big hair even when the bottom hair is not moving noticably. It can also be seen in the video right at the beginning once all the strands are together. I already turned all dynamics off and tried different ways to connect the second hair to the splines via a connect object or on the other hair object but it keeps moving, which looks very weird. Do you have any ideas how to solve this? I have attached a sample scene of the problem and a few frames that illustrate the problem. Thank you for reading! 🙂 sample-scene-v21a-c4dcafe.zip
