  1. I have figured this out now. I didn't realise the UV Peeler only works on a shape that is extruded, not on a shape with only one layer of flat polygons (I extruded the ribbon, applied the UV Peeler and then deleted the extrusion). However, when I applied my ribbon texture, which is a ribbed-like texture, it does indeed follow the direction of the geometry as I want but is bunched up where the geometry curves, see attached. I need the 'ribbed' pattern to be evenly distributed along the geometry. Any idea how to correct this? 7_Days_of_Gifting_Model_UV_Test_No3_v2.c4d
  2. Hi Thanks for your reply. However, I'm mising a couple of steps. I'm unsure how you unwraped the shape to get it 'rolled' out into a long rectangle. What are the steps once in BP UB Edit mode? Sorry for the novice questions. Thanks.
  3. That's good of you, thanks a lot. I've tried to get my head around the UV unwrap stuff but I just can't see what the procedure might be in this case. File attached. Many thanks. 7_Days_of_Gifting_Model_UV_Test_No3_v1.c4d
  4. Hi I have been tasked with creating several ribbons in the shapes of numbers which will eventually react to wind dynamics as part of the animation. I have modelled these "number-ribbons" from scratch as they are being art-directed to look a certain way. For this reason I have not created them using a spline and a spline wrap deformer as the banking and rotation tools in the spline wrap are too clunky to acheive the specific look (The ribbon loops over itself at specific points, spline wrap doesn't give me enough control). I am now trying to apply the ribbon texture but am struggling to get it to follow the direction of the ribbon along its geometry. Any idea how to go about this? I have tried to use UV Edit but have limited knowledge of it. Screenshot attached. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
