  1. Thanks as always for the help on this bit of a step learning curve but worth it. Thanks CBR for detailed info very helpful indeed tip on the way. 👍🏻
  2. Try to sculpt parts of this model I have created... but for some reason when using the sculpting tool everything EXCEPT the waistcoat I can sculpt. For some reason I cannot seem to sculpt the waistcoat?? It's is if it is locked... Also sometime when sculpting my tools only seem to distort the back of the mesh when I click the front of the mesh. I have uploaded the model and a screenshot. Any help greatly appreciated as I now have to work weekend to solve this for client on Monday grrrrr! Mickey MAN-Example.c4d
  3. Great thanks CBR for the help... I did think by the time these are small any detail will be lost... but hey that clients for you.
  4. Hi looking to create toy figures that have a clay or lead painted texture look to them, with mould mark down the side. Wan't sure if this was possible with just using bump maps in Redshift as want to avoid displacement if possible as will be rigging these as well so want the mesh clean as possible. Any advice or best way to tackle this would be great. Many thanks in advance. See attached kind of look I am going for.
  5. Looking to create something similar to this attached screen grab image?? (also my c4d file) I have tried using cloner >object >volume and used small tubes for the cloned objects but struggling to work this out any help on this would be great thanks. Head.c4d
  6. Thanks for the replies... no they don't need to avoid each other scene nodes... will have a look at those
  7. I'm sure this is a very simple one but I have been trying to do and more than likely over complicating it! Basically I have a cloner of smaller flatten spheres (these will be cells) onto a bigger sphere. I just want a way to randomly move them individually across the surface of the sphere. See screen grab attached. Thanks
  8. Great thanks for the info and insight on how best to approach this and didn't even think about looking using modelling more than texture layers. I'll have a crack at it and see how I get on. Oh by the way the purple things move across the surface.... so using the inner sphere idea would solve that. I'm really only looking at a still at the moment due to constraints of my machine. Anyway thanks very much for the help.
  9. I am trying to recreate the image attached WITHOUT the aid of the likes of redshift or Octane. Is this possible I have made some head way but looking to try and create the purple lumps using a noise map so it will animate I have tried layering in the material but getting a bit stuck trying to layer stuff. Any help would be magic thanks in advance! Mickey Test.c4d
  10. I have a model of an octupus with weighted dynamic IK rigged legs. I also have a applied a cloner to this. When I move the clone manually the dynamics on the legs works and looks like they are swimming. Also works if I add a vibrate tag to the cloner. Problem I have I want them to move in time to music so added a sound effector to the cloner which works and the cloner moves but the dynamic ik legs are rigid ? Any way to make the sound effector work like the vibrate tag? If that makes sense. Any help would be great! Octopussy_Stripped.c4d
  11. great thanks for the reply good option, I ended up keeping the Boole but not set to high quality... but did then changed the phong angle on the pound icon and seemed to fix issues I was having with weird intersecting... time is not on my sides had to do it this way but will have a look at the volume builder as no doubt the client will be back on Monday with more amends!
  12. Here the working in progress scene Dropbox link thanks https://www.dropbox.com/s/hzzm6k6rluymstl/ShapeFlow_V5.c4d?dl=0
  13. Hi thanks for reply I have tried to attached the scene but it's too big. How best to reduce the size it's 50mb at moment? Send a wetransfer link? The lock icon is now a pound symbol but in essence the same happens The shape from the left comes in stops at the icon the icon appears/ morphs, then another shape grows from the right side.
  14. Hi, The attached sample show an animation of a flowing object going into an icon the coming out but in between the icon grow/morphs that I have created. I used a Boole for this but get glitchy parts when it animates I turn 'High quality' it disappears unless a part is still intersecting? turn high quality off and it's fine but not great quality? So really the question is there a better way to do this? A better version of a Boole Many thanks for any help, as always client wants it end of day Friday :-( sample.mp4
