  1. Cerbera, Your answer actually helped me. I was having trouble seeing the lights in the animation, but it was because I was using the standard render but I had placed Vray lights for the scene. The Standard render did fine with the animation and I could see the lights when I added standard lights. I am thinking I should just try to learn Redshift. I have access to an educational / free version of Vray and I liked Vray with Sketchup, but it's Vray's not the same with Cinema 4d.
  2. Thanks I will do that. I am using C4d 1.3 and Vray Render. My render settings say Vray but the Animation doesn't seem to see the Vray lights. Is there somewhere I need to tell that for the animation?
  3. Hi everyone, I am a newbie with animation and did a simple animation of a camera on spline. The anim camera doesn't seem to see the lights in the room when I make a preview. I tried including it and can't see why it wouldn't see the lights. Thanks in advance for any thoughts - Krister 262591685_captainsdinneranimtest.c4d
  4. Newbie here - and someone without any background in photography. I was trying to follow this tutorial - but after I put my image on the mesh, it's blurry. I tried changing every camera setting I could think of, increasing the size the mesh, and camera distance and don't have any clue as to what I am doing wrong. I'm hoping someone can help - and sorry in advance if it's something obvious. I did start with the colored png instead of a black value one - am not sure why even just projecting the image on a plane makes it come out fuzzy. Thanks for any suggestions. 551291005_bucklandtest.c4d
  5. Thanks Happy Polygon. At least I won't keep searching!
  6. Is there a record video time lapse function in Cinema 4d? In Procreate on my iPad, I use timelapse all the time and it can be handy going back to use in tutorials. I know how to screenrecord - but time lapse may just save new actions in a program and then compress the recording so things don't take up too much space. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
  7. I'm on RGB in Photoshop. I usually work in RGB and convert to CMYK. It's a graphic novel so there can be large file sizes - and by working in RGB, final color can be seen by others without a CMYK viewing program. Do you know if there is still an exchange plugin between Adobe Photoshop and Cinema 4d ? I do have creative suite, so I was thinking of trying to integrate color through Adobe Effects and C4d if there isn't one.
  8. Hello, I am a relative newbie in C4d using 3d to help me in my graphic novel. When I render in C4d, the colors are different once they are put into Adobe Photoshop and I'm not sure how to reconcile the two. I use Adobe Bridge to coordinate colors for publishing in Adobe Photoshop and Indesign and I found an old video talking about an exchange plugin for Cinema 4d and Photoshop, but I can't find this plugin anywhere and am not sure if it's used any more? Thanks in advance for any ideas.
  9. Hi there, newbie at cinema4d - thanks in advance if you have any thoughts. I was sculpting with grab in points mode with just a head mesh and eyes (no rig) and a strange thing kept happening where I would sculpt the nose back and the picture render would not show any change. I tried freeze transform, revert transform - and that lost my changes. I don't have any thing fancy like dynamics. If you have any thoughts on this, I would really appreciate - thanks!
