  1. I personally can see the benefit of threads like this. I'm a long time C4D user (back to R9 or so if memory serves) but I got stuck on R20 myself for a long time for a whole variety of reasons (old jobs kept getting revisited, updated jobs needed the same rendering style, etc). That, and the hardware fact that my old mid-2010 Mac Pro couldn't even upgrade C4D (or X-Particles) because of the missing AVX chipset meant I stayed in R20 land well past what I would have liked. Now, I have a shiny new M1 Max MacBook Pro and can install all the latest apps and plug-ins and I'm very curious as to what I've been missing. I tried to read up on new features as they came out but it was hard without the ability to play. I know I've "missed" many that I won't remember were added (or that I could use) unless I go back and watch all those "What's new in RXX" videos… which I am trying to do in my "free time" (thanks Chris Schmidt et al). So, reading about "this feature that some won't care about but is huge to me" is really informative. Thanks for all the input!
