  1. We have a project that involves building approx. 15 models of products like plastic bags and similar items. The geometry will need to be clean and compatible with smoothing modifiers. Our render engine is Redshift. Remote work is fine as long as you are self-motivated and able to work to deadlines. We have another project that involves creating 4-5 nearly-still scenes (from 3D stock models) for camera perspective animation. Little or no character work is envisioned. Reply or send me a dm. About Us: We are a specialist product animation and visualization studio located in the southeastern US (a few hours from Atlanta). There is room for future work – we often contract out general animation, texturing, as well as some particles / flows (X-Particles if appropriate). The projects or parts of projects range in size from a day to several weeks or more. We work closely with our freelancers, are very accessible to answer project questions, and meet as needed through VOIP and video calls.
  2. No problem. There were no changes, it was definitely just load and render, after relinking the under the bridge.hdr file from the library. There is only one file named that way in both C4D R19 and R22. Thanks.
  3. Beware that some files in the C4D libraries may differ substantially between versions. I was having what seemed inexplicable issues trying to get a file from R19 to render in R22 with the same lighting, highlights and reflections as R19. It worked when I exported with assets, so I checked the two HDR's and they are clearly different. The one on the left is from R19. The one in R22 looks like it has been shifted horizontally, washed out and had its color-adjusted. In fact, looking more closely, it may well be a completely different image. Just wanted to share for others' benefit.
  4. Sounds good. Some input on how much time/knowledge is needed or how involved it is to convert materials to the new node system, and whether these materials need to be further modified for e.g. ProRender. Also, would be helpful to know whether the new material structure is a step toward learning and using a third-party GPU renderer?
  5. Cinema 4D Animator/Generalist for remote work We are a small, specialist animation and visualization studio located in the southeastern US (a few hours from Atlanta). We are looking for an experienced freelancer with a flair for animation to supplement our work on an as-needed basis. We primarily use Cinema 4D, and need the applicant to do so as well. The work is often general animation, texturing, as well as some particles / flows (X-Particles if appropriate). The projects or parts of projects range in size from a day to several weeks or more. Remote work is fine, but the applicant must be self-motivated and able to work to deadlines. We work closely with our freelancers, are very accessible to answer project questions, and meet as needed through VOIP calls. Please contact me via private message.
