Sponges Updated
Images rendered around 2011/2012 with my own unpublished Menger Sponge plugin.
The plugin got developed for Cinema 4D R11.5/R12 and basically worked unchanged until R19. Actually the first plugin I developed for C4D. Could actually be fun to revive it with the new possibilities provided by the new Maxon API and the power of C4D's new core.
I set myself a few goals to achieve with the plugin.:
Recreate an image by fpsunflower in C4D (see image in album). Achieved 🙂 Back then there was still a 32-bit version of Cinema 4D and I wanted it to be able to create a Menger Sponge of order 5 in a 32-bit C4D in a reasonable amount of time. Achieved 🙂 Explore different ways to create Menger Sponges. Implemented, but no achievement, but rather evidence of some inherent nerdiness.- 10

Big Al's Cinema 4D and Corona Renderer Updated
I'm really loving Corona and it is amazingly fast. They are at version 9 now. Let's hope The Chaos Group's acquisition doesn't derail this great engine.

School of Motion Cinema 4D Basecamp Updated
Decided to enrol for the School of Motion C4D Basecamp to help me get to know C4D better than continuously watching tutorials, with the plan to produce more art.
12 weeks of intense C4D outside of my day job is just what's required!

ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) Updated
Comparison of color systems, ACES, and sRGB in this you will see the difference between the color grading, oversaturation, and gamma.
Note, these images were exported in JPEG 8 bit, and yet you can see the difference. But the real difference can be seen when you work with ACES and export with 10 bit and higher.
Software: Arnold Render, Cinema 4D, After Effects.
