  1. Cinema_4D_SucFsVeUW0.mp4 Here is a version with front/back materials applied to the extrude. It shows the issue more clearly — with the faces flickering because normals are changing direction.
  2. Can you post a viewport render of your result? By "solid", you mean that there is no flipping on the extrusion? For me, cranking up the sim settings with either CPU or GPU makes no difference. Extrusion settings are correct, but seem to be reacting to the underlying splines (or something else). When I simulate the splines on their own they seem to "look" fine, but there is something going on that creates the jitter.
  3. Yes, the flipping isn't a result of the simulation itself. It seems to be a matter of the spline vectors not staying consistent. I've tried constraint tags as well, but no luck.
  4. I'm using 2023.1.3. It is most apparent when the splines get close together. The cloth is flipping side-to-side very quickly, creating the jittery motion. Here is a cached preview of the file I uploaded. Cinema_4D_Rbjj4AOimn.mp4
  5. I'm have a spline simulation and am trying to get it to animate smoothly/correctly. I have splines in a cloner, connected, extruded, then in a cloth object to create thickness. When playing the simulation, the cloth thickness on certain splines will "flip" back and forth, creating a jittery/snapping effect. I am unable to tell if this is due to vertex normals possibly flipping in the main spline, the normals of the extrude object, or something else. Attached is sample scene that shows the behavior. Any idea what is causing this and what I can do to fix it? spline sample.c4d
