    Apple Spring Show 2021

I think you and me have a VERY different definition of "only".

    Apple Spring Show 2021

It's Apple so that's an automatic dislike from me dawg 😆
  7. Sure is. I was just a little concerned when you compared fictional violence with real violence. Might be because in my youth my favorite hobby got dragged through the dirt a couple of times because politicians couldn't find a better scape goat for school shooters. Agreed though. Let's agree to disagre... kind of. But not really 😆
  8. I find this to be a very... narrow view. I hate violence irl in any shape or form. It's unecessary. But I do like a good gory videogame. Mind you, I don't play these games because of the gore but because they are good games and their atmosphere just happens to be supported by gore. I wouldn't want to play a game with zombies without over the top blood and gore effects. It's just not the same. There are certainly cases where this goes to far, for example the Mortal Kombat games; these are just as gory as possible just to be as gory as possible. What really rubs me the wrong way is that you're comparing this to real bloodsport that happened in our history. Just because I like some heads exploding in my videogames and movies does NOT mean that I ever want to see something like this again. I really don't. That said, yes, the first Episode in the first Season was by far the worst and I did find this scene to be over the top and unecessarily gory. I bet this was more a case of some artists going "hey we never had the chance to do this in any movie yet, let's see how good we can make it look". And yeah, they nailed it pretty well lol.
  9. It is. As far as I know, Netflix is basically approaching different studios and telling them to do something they like, which is why this stuff is often very experimental.
  10. The art is just increadible for the most part. That's what made Season 1 so good (for me). Especially the third Episode, called "the Witness". That thing just oozes style left and right and is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. And the twist is also great. Not all of the episodes are "hardcore". Some are, and those really are. I urge you to watch the rest, there is so much good stuff in there it's a crime to miss out.
  11. Then use watermarks. Or something. There IS ways to make this happen.
  12. This show is the best thing that has been produced for 3D Artists in like, ever.
  13. Oh HELL yeah, finally!
  14. Hell, I'd be happy with JUST C4D for 250€ a year, maybe with Redshift on top.
  15. Inspiring stuff man! Thanks again for posting this. Now I feel like doing something like this myself 😄
  16. 😉 Rbdfracture Anim.1-175-1.mp4
  17. People say it's still rendering to this day... 😆
  18. Playing with Fractures and Guided RBD Simulations
  19. That's some GOOD stuff! I Love the first shot, especially together with the sound. Two things: The "entry" particle effect could use either way, way more particles or more motion blur. Maybe the particles are just too slow? The "out of the window" view is unfortunately a little low poly 😕
  20. Huh, it has only crashed once on me so far and I've already spent ALOT of hours in it. Maybe it's the modeling stuff that tends to crash?
  21. Not to mention that if I use and love a software, I want more of it. And I only get more if I pay. Because of nobody pays the company will just die.
  22. Yeah I can imagine that they absolutely will not play around if you get caught. Not to mention, if you need technical support for some reason it'll probably rather easy for them to find out...
  23. Probably nothing, honestly. But if they have some kind of control I'd look at stuff that gets put out there, look at the studio size and be like "hmm, this looks like it's been done with Houdini and that Studio has 20 employees". Or they just don't care and they make enough money because people that actually love their tools pay for them, if they can.
  24. Not long. Only around 3minutes 🙂
