  1. Maxon has a special version for teams to easily manage licenses. Then you have many options for license management. Additionally, you receive training and individual support. Unfortunately this version is only available for a minimum of 3 licenses. Additionally, it costs about 15% more.

    You are wrong. This is not just the default renderer setting, but many of the small changes involved in establishing Redshift as the default renderer. First of all, export of Redshift materials to FBX, GLTF and USD formats, menu organization, etc. I am happy about the export of Redshift materials to GLTF. 🙂

    Absolutely critical command for any scene of even moderate complexity. Gone, because someone decided it was untidy or something. I wish they would stop p***ing about with the interface, especially for a point release.

    I use icons above the object manager. I recommend you too, it's faster than with the menu under the second mouse button. Screenshot below. But still some icons are missing and the "fold selected" and "unfold selected" commands are universal whistles instead of proper icons.

    I can see in this example there is the same problem that I had. There is some bug with preferences when upgrading from version 2023.0.1 to 2023.1.0.
    The error manifests itself in two things that I noticed. The first is less smoke generation than it should be. Second, despite setting the renderer to Redshif, the standard renderer material is created by default. (Maybe there are other irregularities, but I didn't notice them)

     

    The second thing is easy to overcome by going to Preferences, to the materials preview tab and set "Auto".

     

    The first thing is harder to fix. I checked that you need to reinstall C4D, but there were voices that it was enough to delete the preferences file. I don't know, it needs to be checked.

     

    What is the Pyro bug? And why may many people not be aware of it?

     

    After the update, the Pyro generally works, so if you don't compare it to the correct result, you won't see anything wrong!

     

    I was watching the 3D Motion Show. To learn the first steps with the Pyro, I wanted to repeat what Athanasios Pozantzis @noseman showed. And I was surprised to have a different fire look from the presentation! There was no smoke! Further actions with the smoke starter element also did not work!

     

    Below is a Screen from the same animation frame from the Noseman presentation and from my simulation:

    As you can see, although the Pyro works, it produces a completely different result!

     

    I see the same effect in the linked YouTube presentation "Intro to Pyro C4D 2023.1 + Redshift". No smoke!

     

    Of course, it can be forced by changing a parameter, but with the same parameters, these will be completely different simulations!

     

    That's why I warn you that for Pyro to work properly, you should reinstall C4D or delete the preferences directory (which I haven't checked). It's necessary!

     

    Only after reinstalling C4D did the flame generation look the same.

    Redshift RT is completely different from the RT technique analogous to game engines such as Unreal or Unity. It's all about getting such a technique in C4D, something similar to Unreal or Eevee. Redshift RT is a regular Redshift rendering supported by Nvidia RT cores. It is not an alternative, it is something completely different.

They will automatically switch to the Premium version (floating license), additionally they will maintain 3 rendering nodes. And all this at the old price!     From what I understood, Cinema changed its name to 2023 and it is now just a subscription to add new features during the year without any pre-set deadlines. What is ready will be uploaded to version 2023. So I think that what @DMcGavran presented will come sooner than you think - in 2 months I suppose. 🙂

    If I delete my custom pallete the menu still doesn't show any except those two objects.
    And only when I undock it, it shows the full list of objects,

    The problem with vanishing world-creating elements such as backgrounds, enviroments, lights, etc. is related to the new way to handle renderers. When Redshift is selected as renderer, items that are not supported by Reshift are hidden. when you switch to the standard or physical renderer, they should appear.

     

    So it's not a bug, it's a function. 🙂

    Hello! In our company, we use Corona renderer for some animations. For example, this animation from immunology:

    Overall, Corona has many advantages, but for animation it is still underdeveloped. Has problems with motion-blur, some material nodes are not suitable for animation (e.g. texture jumps), sometimes has a cloner problem, especially when using a multi shader - it can jump over the color distribution. And many other little things that annoy you.

     

    But it has potential - we'll see what the new version brings. I just downloaded it. 🙂

    I have a small studio, I employ employees, there are 8 of us and no other program is cheaper (except Blender).
    For what we do, C4D is much more effective than Blender. Besides, when I have to hire a new person (and it is very difficult to find new employees), these are usually people just after graduation, where their practical knowledge is negligible. C4D has the great advantage that learning is much easier than other software. At the moment we have just such a case - the boy had Blender during his studies, but in practice he didn't know much. Training him in C4D went very quickly, and he himself says that C4D is very friendly software and it is easier for him to work in C4D. For me, it is a great advantage that I can implement it faster in various projects - it is another financial benefit.

     

    But of course I would like to see in those areas where the C4D has a lag so that it can be caught up quickly. There is a lot to improve and I am impatiently waiting for it to be shown by the R26.

    In the case of Maxon, subscription and retention of services for Russia and Belarus, this is a more complicated matter. Many people here on the Core4D forum may not know that the European Union (this applies to all EU countries) and the US have imposed economic sanctions on Russia and Belarus. In addition, the use of the SWIFT system in most Russian banks, which is used for making transfers, has been suspended. The service of Visa and Master Cards in these countries was also stopped.     Yes, I know it does export, but this export does not work with any material other than the standard material. And the standard one does not follow the full rules of PBR materials. Since U-Render gives a good preview of PBR compatible materials, I would like it to be able to properly export them to gltf.
    At the moment, it is difficult to preview shaders in C4D because ultimately after exporting to an engine such as Babylon.js, many things look different. You have to set everything blindly. Therefore, I would like to have a PBR compliant preview and material creation flow and export to gltf.

    It would make it much easier to work with WebGL environments.

    If U-Render had it, I would have bought the licenses for our studio right away.

  19. Today, a new version of Fused has been released which already includes this new Taiao tool. At the same time, everyone has started downloading, because at the moment there are problems with reading the license after logging in. You have to wait.
    But you can try to download now. 🙂
