  1. Just trying out R25 and I'm finding these numeric entry fields do not work well with a graphics tablet. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

If I want to type in the text field to enter a specific value (which is what I want to do most of the time) it takes several clicks with the pen on the text field before it activates. Clicking with a graphics pen always moves the position of the cursor a little during the click and this ends up dragging the fancy pants new text field to a new value rather than activating the field for typing. Disabling the "Hi Res Tablet" option in preferences does improve the clicking function a little but nevertheless it generally takes 2 to 5 clicking attempts before the numerical text box becomes activated. Frustrating indeed.

  2. I've set up a flat grid of "lights" in cinema using a simple sprite with an alpha channel going into a mograph cloner. The alpha channel works and cuts out the sprites relative to the background but where the clones overlap each other the alpha does not calculate correctly. The alphas do not seem to calculate "inter-clone-ally"

I have already set this scene up with actual lights and it works but it renders slow and I'm trying to save on render time by faking it with sprites.

  3. I'm doing some basic modelling and want to extrude a face a number of times, rotating around an offset axis so that I end up with a curved extrusion (See B in the pic).

I've figured out how to do this by selecting the face, offsetting the axis, then control/shift rotating to duplicate the face in 5 degree increments. This works but it's damned laborious.

Matrix extrude is frustratingly close to what I need but it doesn't allow for the offset of the axis. Is there a script or a plugin to do this or some inbuilt tool that I am missing?

  4. Hi

I have a simple cube that I am rendering with an outline using Sketch And Toon. There are three faces visible in isometric view; top, left and right. I am using an edge selection to define each face and then applying a different coloured sketch material to each edge selection. The problem is the lines are intersecting at the corners and rendering incorrectly. I have tried setting the priority of the sketch material and also the order of the sketch tags in the object manager as suggested in the documentation. These changes seem to have no effect. Any ideas how I can solve this?

    Cheers
