Hi,
I have a complex Voronoi Fracture object with dynamics (1,000's of pieces and then Detailing turned on). Needless to say, when I try to play through the simulation it's slower than molasses. I'm trying to use a proxy workflow, wherein I drive the more complex Voronoi Fracture by a less complex one.
I baked the less complex sim down to an alembic and used "Current state to Object" on the more complex Voronoi geo.
Then I used a Mesh Deformer on the complex Voronoi geo with the alembic dropped into the Mesh deformers "Cages" box.
My issue is: 1000's of pieces...it's not practical to drag and drop all those items.
Is there some way to automate this process (Xpresso?) or is there another Proxy workflow I should consider within Cinema 4D.
I'm not well versed in Xpresso, so the more information the better.
I've included a MUCH more simplified file for reference.
