  1. Tnx! I discoved the heat map and tried it ....it looks like the Transpose operator was the cause..... This experiement didn't work with what I was trying to do but I now understand this Loop Carried Value . I ended up using matrix nodes suggested by Noseman's tutorial and that worked!. I also discoved that the node workflow didn't seem to like alembics (I replaced the plane with an alembic) as I had to convert it to an object for it to work.
  2. Thank you! this is based on a hello lux tutorial;. What I am noticing is nodes can be very slow. I am working on another scene file where all I am trying to do is programatically generate a line of planes and every time I do anything I have to wait before it actually finishes calculating.?! So I'm not sure if it's due to the fact that this aspect of C4d is just a WIP or I'm doing something wrong. I'm leaning towards the former but someone may see something I am doing wrong or setting wrong. (For example with rendering if you don't change certain defaults in RS or Octane it will greatly increase your render time.) nodeex.c4d
  3. It looks like 7 may have been to much.....when I started at two I was able to move up to 5...and it was getting a little fussy.
  4. I ran into an issue with Loop Carried value in trying to follow a tutorial about the scene nodes. In the example you see Inner and Outer scope inputs. They're not in the node interface. Instead I see ..} which is, according to the documentation is where the range is supposed to go? However, when I wire from range to that input it seems to hang C4d. My range is only 0-7? Has anyone else run into this? Thank you in advance.
