I'm working on a chocolate bar that I'd like to 'crack open' as in split it roughly down the middle with small debris to reveal the center
I'm trying the Voronoi fracture option but it can't seem to make it only fracture down the center.
I was hoping someone can share their expertise on how to achieve this or if you know any tutorial to help me get a clearer idea.
Here is a reference of what I'm trying to make:

I guess your plastic material has a high specular value that you need to dial down

@Cerbera Thank you for you help, your advice helped set me off in the right direction. The main issue that remains is texturing, but i guess if i use the correct materials it might do the trick

This is my first time attempting to create a realistic cake render, i've tried many approaches to achieve a realistic look but i can't seem to wrap my head on the correct way. All my renders so far look like a plastic sponge lol
any help or guide would be appreciated!

Thank you very much Cerbera for the prompt reply and for moving the topic to the correct section!
This helped me A LOT since I was struggling with the topology but the empty disk trick does the job!

Here are some photos of what I'm working with. I want to eventually try to animate such a thing but for now a still shot would do.
