  1. VB was a game changer for me when it came out. For example: I was prototyping a model of a cloud with a flat bottom for a board game. With VB you have some results in 5 Minutes with some spheres where you can play around until you like the shape. So especially organic shapes works really well in VB and they are parametric.
  2. This is pure genius!! I never on earth thought about it this way. This was so far off from my attempts with constraints etc. , thank you so much. I appreciate your efforts for this step by step guide. I´ve already recreated it with my project and this works like a charm.
  3. Ah, yes, there are reasons for that. The moving Object needs to be solid. Imagine a glass panel from a sunroof of a car. If you open the roof, the glass slides along the shape of the car silhouette but it keeps it shape. In my case the object is mounted with two bearings in a rail and follows it. I hope the Sketch helps to understand the challenge. Red is the solid object, green are the bearings aka the rolls and black is the rail.
  4. No, I work with c4D since several years and I´m used to it. (I hope you will not mention xpresso)
  5. Hello there, I want to move an object along a rail in Cinema 4D, but with two pivot points that both follow the rail. These pivot points are located at the front and back of the object. You can imagine it like a garage door that moves along a track with two rollers. How can I achieve this setup so that both pivot points stay correctly aligned with the rail? I´ve tried different things like constraints etc. but it always middles the object. Does anyone has an idea? TwoPivotsTest.c4d
