  1. I am getting 257:1000 frames. simulation just decides to stop working and i get "empty" vdb from that frame to 1000. gtx1070ti 11gb/128gb ECC ram- 10core xeon. The conclusion somewhere else was that this is NOT a gpu horsepower issue but some kind of internal c4d problem. I really don't know how to switch to cpu for the sim. I am willing to cache overnight if needed but of course would rather not. This should be as stable as TFD but it isn't even close. I stopped using TFD a long time ago because it was just wonky but overall it would cache what I asked no matter the duration of the animation. If you can help me I would even be willing to pay you. Just to get this little personal project done. So frustrating.
  2. Hello there legendary Cactus Dan,

    I have an interesting predicament. I've rigged up the cephalic fin of a manta ray and need to bend the bones up into a roll like in real life. I've got all the joints there nicely but can't seem to figure it out. Using a goal won't work because it won't rotate the joints along the axis progressively if that makes sense. If you have any idea how this can become a reality I'd greatly appreciate some advice. Below is a screenshot that should help explain what I'm referring to.
