I am getting 257:1000 frames. simulation just decides to stop working and i get "empty" vdb from that frame to 1000. gtx1070ti 11gb/128gb ECC ram- 10core xeon.
The conclusion somewhere else was that this is NOT a gpu horsepower issue but some kind of internal c4d problem. I really don't know how to switch to cpu for the sim. I am willing to cache overnight if needed but of course would rather not. This should be as stable as TFD but it isn't even close. I stopped using TFD a long time ago because it was just wonky but overall it would cache what I asked no matter the duration of the animation.
If you can help me I would even be willing to pay you. Just to get this little personal project done. So frustrating.

did you solve this? I am having a problem where hot4d looks like it has extra wave choppiness in the picture viewer but is perfect in IPR. this is highly inconvenient. i have tried everything.

Did you end up finding a solution? II've had this happening to me for the past four days. Same Error exception code in log.

Hello everyone. I am working on R+D for the next version of Infinite Ocean and I need help. I'm looking to make the ocean shader with nodes due to some limitations with standard materials. There is a Redshift version in the works but we are trying to release both at the same time. If anyone could help me figure out how to make a proper ocean/ white caps material please let me know. Thanks and keep up the genius work here. This is a great thread!

I am trying this with no luck. Can you tell me exactly how to get the shader to render? i have tried a few things inc stacking the redshift hair render node on the regular hair shader and each one by themselves. I cannot find any documentation to simply get redshift/2023 to display hair. I have some confusion about quantity of guides too. i need grass over a large area parallel to a street. *a long strip - i would like to optimize this as best i can- at the moment i am using cloned planes with a bend deformer on them as indiv blades- looks good and not too slow but it seems like overkill. If you can help me at all i would appreciate that. - sorry for the phone pics- was not logged in on pc.
