Once I finished the Packard Cable model it was easy to do some tweaks to the bodywork, jump into BodyPaint and create the Yellow and White Perfect Circles models.
I spent hours researching reference on this the first Indianapolis 500 winner in 1911. It also made me finally learn BodyPaint as it was the only way to do the fine red keyline on the bodywork.

Fantastic stuff Nigel.
I'd love to know whether Modo is easier or just more intuitive than Cinema when modelling.
I'm sticking with C4D because of the investment.
We miss you........

Thank you for the nice comments.
This Audi R8 was my first attempt at modelling a car back in 2010. The album name is a bit confusing because I've since added the Auto Union.
Thanks again for the comments.

soccerrprp,
I used segmented plane objects, then moved the points around and extruded the edges for the body panels.
Everything else started as a cube, cylinder or tube made editable then cut, extruded and joined.

Thank you for the nice words.
To get a comment like that from 3DKiwi makes me feel 10 feet tall. Just about everything I've learnt, I've learnt from C4D Cafe and 3DKiwi's tutorials.
Thanks again,
Keith
