Ok, so I have spent the morning implementing your suggestions, as best I may, I have also switched to physical rendering. There's also a sky in there to give some reflections. and shadowing. It seems like an improvement, but what am I missing. Thanks alot for the tips so far.

Hi Ya all, I am making an animation and I want to have a top-down section that focuses on some cards on a plane background animated in a stop-motion fashion. I set up a basic scene here and was looking for some suggestions on how I can go about improving the realism of this shot, realism has never really been something I was particularly good at. The scene itself is pretty basic. a couple of areas lights a main and a fill, and materials with a couple of basic with basic textured materials.
