Nearly every project these days needs several output formats 16x9,9x16,4x5, 5 seconds, ten seconds etc etc.
I love the take system for having a master project that contains all different versions but there's always one very big limitation: Whenever there is need for dynamic simulation with slightly different settings per take the system gets shaky. I've been avoiding baking simulations for this reason, but whenever there's farm rendering involved or even the render queue it becomes necessary to use caches.
Since we are now able to use the mograph cache for dynamic sims, and using different cache files for different takes the problem should be solved.
I'm currently on a project with five takes with a different cache for each take, and everything's cool in the viewport. But when I add the different takes to a render queue to render overnight I get a big fat error message (missing files) and the resulting renders are hit or miss... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Anyone else with this problem? solutions?
